Dino has excelled in community development issues, and has represented agencies in several areas and for many different projects, including:

Dino is very supportive of the Aboriginal Culture. He recently visited the Aboriginal Tent Embassy in Canberra and is seen here with local Aboriginal activists.

Sept - Oct 2004 Managed, planned and strategised for a political campaign for myself as an Independent Senate Candidate for the 2004 Federal Election. I was successful in coming 9 th .

Sept 2004 Member of NAPCAN Tasmania .

May 2004 Tattersall's Australian Award for Enterprise and Achievement Finalist.

Nov 2003 Australia of the Year Award Tasmania Finalist.

Feb 2003 In association with the Cerebral Palsy Association raised funds for an accessible playground for disabled children, on land donated by myself and my wife in Lenah Valley

2003 Helped establish the Eureka Refugee Support Group in Hobart .

Sept 2002 - 2005 Established the Helping Hands network, a free community service network that helps people and organisations deal with and eliminate bullying/harassment/discrimination.

Oct 2002 Member of St. Mary's Pastoral Council (Chairman for part of 2004 - 2005).

March 2002 till August 2003 CPSU Delegate for CPSU (SPFST) staff.

Dec 2001 Produced a short documentary on Ken McSwain, Hobart Dance Academy director.

Oct 2001 till present Member of the Parents and Friends (P&F) Sacred Heart College (SHC). SHC P&F facilitator of the Parents Awareness Committee. 2004 SHC P&F Vice President.

June 2000 Funded the development of a day care centre in The Gambia, West Africa , through the Christian Children Fund.

Since 1999 Co-founder of the Tasmanian Friends of the AMF, helping children who are victims of violent crimes or who suffer sudden loss of family.

Nov 1997 'til present SPAGFEST organiser and founder, a spaghetti eating competition held at the Hobart Mall that raises money for charities in Tasmania every December.

April 1997 'til 2004 Assistant announcer of the ICWA Italian Radio Show with 7THFM Radio.

1997 - 1999 Co-founder of the Tasmanian International Cultural Diversity Group, using the skills of migrants for the benefit of tourism and exporters.

1994 - 1997 CPSU representative for the DEET National EEO Committee.

1992 - 1997 Founder and Coordinator of the CPSU National DEET Migrant Workers Forum, to abolish systemic problems in the workplace.

1992 Published article on the late Elzio Bini, Vice-Italian Consul for Tasmania for the Australian Dictionary of Biographies 1940-1980.

1988 - 1990 CPSU (Federal) Workplace Delegate at DSS, IOB / Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) representative for the DOF / Sexual Harassment Contact Officer DSS IOB.

1986 - 1988 Hobart Italian Cultural & Welfare Association Secretary.

Jan 1986 Co-ordinated and participated in the 1,200km 54 day, Freedom-From-Hunger Walk-Around Tasmania , raising $47,000 for self-help projects in Eritrea and Vietnam .
